Black Friday

This last November I did the whole Black Friday shopping thing. I've tried it before but never really went full out. This year, my aunts saved us a place in line so it felt a little more manageable :) Thanks guys! We were near the front of the line which was very exciting! We all looked through the ads and picked out what we wanted. Then, we each chose an area of the store that we were going to run and picked up everything that everyone in the group wanted in that area. It was crazy! We all got everything we wanted! This is us in line. Somehow we ended up playing with glow sticks to keep us entertained. I still don't know where we got them but they sure worked.

We bought cocoa from a smart little kid selling from his mom's car in the parking lot. It was SO cold! I managed to forget my coat at my mom's and only bring a sweater so needless to say i felt like a popsicle. We all took turns driving in my warm car to a nearby gas station to thaw out a bit, it felt so good! I love my seat heaters!!

I thought Jake's was creative too! He made himself into a dreadlocked Jamaican man... Ha ha! Jake, so silly! I love him!

The rest of the night meant business so I didn't take many more pictures until later on. I have to admit, the start of the night was fairly slow but it once they announced that the doors were about to open my adrenaline started pumping!! It was intense! People showed up out of no where and jumped in line where ever they could. One man got in front of us. He was so creepy looking. I told him to get to the back of the line and he just stared at me for a while. I tried a few more times but he stayed. At the door I mentioned it to the guards but they still let him in! I couldn't believe people could be so dishonest! I'm still mad they let him in- you really can't tell can you?

This is us, exhausted from the night's events, trying to find a cozy place to lay our sleepy little heads at Old Navy. I got a ton of stuff! Really good deals! But at this point I just wanted to sleep. Poor Jake was sick. He was pooped. I felt so bad for him staying up so late :(

The whole gang met up after each store was raided to get some breakfast at I Hop. While we waited, Jake slept on that wall next to him. I'm just glad he got a nap in poor kid! He could barely keep his eyes open at this point.

The night was fun and after somehow driving jake and myself home we crashed for a very long time. We woke up nearly 10 hours later and went shopping again. I know! Crazy huh?! It had been such a better experience than the last! After showing my hubby the great deals I got, my interest in Black Friday shopping had successfully been renewed. Maybe I'll go again next year :)
