Aloha! Day 8

Day 8: Dimond Head, Ko Olina, New Disneyland Resort, and the Beach

Diamond Head is one of the most well known volcanic craters in the world. Our trip would not have been complete without hiking it. It is 760 feet high and has been extinct for 150,000 years now!

We went through a long tunnel near the top. It was dark and scary but I had my hubby to hold on to :)

Next we went up a winding staircase... where I found a mouse! Yuck!

When we got outside again the view was breathtaking!

We made it to the top and took a few pictures! See Waikiki in the background?

We soaked in the view and ran back down the volcano so we could fit more in- today was our last day on the island so we wanted to fit as much in as possible... or at least go to the beach one more time :)

We drove to Ko Olina since that was the only part of the island we hadn't gone to yet. It was so nice there! We found the new Disneyland resort and walked through to see what it was like. It just opened up that week! It was amazing inside and out! We toured the inside a bit then walked out back. There was a water park in the middle of the resort, a man-made snorkel tank, they had their own beach and an island you could kayak out to... so much fun! Well done Disney!

We also found out about the Disney Vacation Club! It looks cool! You should look it up online if you like timeshares and Disney!

I love Disney's style!

Just a few pictures inside the man-made snorkel tank... the pictures turned out better here than our other underwater adventures but this is basically what it looked like everywhere we snorkeled. It was beautiful!

We called to let our folks know we were coming home, thanked them for all they did for the wedding, and told them we had a great time! Last stop... the beach!

We found lots of little crabs in these rocks. It was hard to leave when we were having such a fun time exploring!

P.S. If anyone wants to be my best buddy, you should find these yummy treats! We loved them out there and wished we could have brought some home to share with everyone! :)

Good bye Oahu! We love you and miss you! Hope to see you again soon! :)

Best honeymoon ever!
